Joel and Ethan Coen, known as The Coen Brothers, are Oscar-winning American filmmakers. The pair has written and directed a variety of films which fall under the categories of screwball comedy and film noir, some even a combination of both. This encyclopedia was created to explore their films, the characters and themes therein, and related topics.
